We conduct a number of bank training programmes that are currently being used by commercial banks, central banks, bank training institutes, business schools and universities on an international basis.

SimArch conducts the Asset & Liability Management for Royal Bank of Scotland

From 14 to 16 of November 2011 a three-day in-house Asset & Liability Management for RBS was conducted by Mr. Ziegfried Vermaak, CEO of SimArch.

During the Asset & Liability Management participants were divided into teams of four, each team representing a virtual bank. Participants were able to manage a virtual bank by using the GuardB@nk Simulation Program. Three financial quarters were run where teams had to make decisions for their bank. This gave them the opportunity to understand the complexity involved in running a bank in a challenging economic environment and under difficult business conditions.

The training programme was concluded with a brief overview of the results of each bank in order to understand why some banks have performed better than others and what the impact of certain decisions were on the overall results and performance of each bank.
